Comments: We went to see your show on Saturday Night April 15th at the Brownfield Lions Club and we really liked the music, there was only one problem, we could not hear your voices very well because it seemed as if the music was louder than the microphones so we ended up leaving early. We would like to see you again and maybe we could hear more of you.

For those of you checkin' in here, my name is Andie, and I got my start as the first lead singer of Crossroads, way back when they just started. I'm now singing in NY, but I still have my memories of the 'old days'. Here is one of my faves: Not having sung in public before, I had no self-confidence when I started singing with the band, and stage fright was something I dealt with every gig. It was awful. Well, one night, John got the big idea to get a cordless mic, and have me go 'out into' the audience. I choked!! "I can't go out there with them! I don't know what to do"! At this point, I couldn't even banter with the audience between songs, so, no way was I going to go mingle with them! As you can imagine, John wasn't going to take 'no' for an answer. Later on in the nite, while I was in the middle of singing a song, John came up and put his hand on my back. I thought he was being sweet. Oh, how wrong was I?! Not two seconds went by, and I got this heavy PUSH, right off the stage, and straight into the audience!! Oh, MY GAWD!! There I was, right in with the people, so close.....I was shaking like you can't believe. It was sink or swim. I couldn't run, and I couldn't just back up onto the stage. I just had to do 'it'. So, I sang my heart out, and when the song was over, yep, I was right back up on the stage where I felt 'safe'! LOL Well, those days are long gone. I now work only with a cordless mic, and my current band will tell ya, i'm rarely on stage. I'm on the bar, on a table, or in someones lap! I got over my stage fright, for sure!
